Royal Gale

Gale Harris, professionally known as Royal Gale, is a Brooklyn-bred Caribbean dancer, instructor and creator with roots from Barbados.

What began as a passion evolved into over a decade of teaching thousands of women worldwide . In 2016, Royal Gale founded Born To Wine in New York City offering classes that highlighted Caribbean culture and how to move with intention, confidence and cultural respect. As a self-taught dancer, she has dedicated her work to shifting the over sexualized narrative surrounding Caribbean dance styles, specifically wining, by developing a movement practice that focuses on safe technique, artistry and embodied wellness.

Having worked with artists and brands such as Konshens, Rema, Ciara, Missy Elliott, Nike and selling out international tours within minutes, Gale’s work stands as a proud representation of her West Indian culture and Bajan roots.
